The “fourth” part of the Wave Seal, the liner, acts as a spring for the clamp. This spring allows the clamp to adapt to changes in hose diameter due to pressure and temperature changes. The Wave Seal is much lighter than common constant tension clamps.
The liner also prevents the clamp from damaging the hose. The material is all stainless which makes the Wave Seal highly resistant to corrosion.
The Wave Seal is used in American and European OEMs on turbo applications. More growth is expected as turbo engines become more popular worldwide.
